Ohakune Domain Board Meeting

A meeting of the Ohakune Domain Board was held in the Borough Council Chambers, when the following members were present: Messrs H. F. L. Delamar, M. Hutton, F. J. Pearce. G. Dunn, P. Maeikura, N. O’Connell, G. McCullough, F. A. Martin and W. Mahony. Mr. Delamar reported on tne condition of the football stands in the Rochfort Park and in the Ruapehu Park, and it was decided to endeavour to raise funds to have certain essential repairs carried out and to asx the Commissioner of Crown Lands to grant a subsidy for this work. It was felt that duo to the increased public use of these grounds that the board use every endeavour to improve them The secretary reported that a considerable number of trees had been planted on the grounds and that more would be planted as soon as the weather improved. The matter of the entrance was discussed and it was considered that a cattle-stop should he installed in place of gates, as these were broken very easily and the cattlestop would overcome this.
