ONE MAN KILLED AND TWO INJURED IN ROAD SMASH IN TARANAKI
N. PLYMOUTH. Last Night (P.A.) —One man was killed and another two injured when a light-weight motor truck was involved in a collision with a motor car about one mile north of Inglewood on the Inglewood-Waitara highway, at about 7 o’clock tonight. The truck was proceeding towards Waitara and the car was travelling in the opposite direction. Dense log which enveloped North Taranaki tonight made visibility only fair. The victims were:— Killed Mr. Lennox Egarr, a farmhand, aged about 30 years- of Rimu Street, Inglewood. Injured. Mr. C. Portway, Lepperton, lacerations to scalp. Mr. N. Wilson, Kaimata, Inglewood, cut to the head.
