LAKE ALICE POWER FEEDER WILL BE COMPLETED SOON
“Poles have been erected to the Kilkern Road corner on the new double circuit II k.v.a. line to supply Lake Alice and Bulls," said the assistant engineer,’Mr D. B. Hughes, at yesterday's meeting of the WanganuiRangitikei Electric Power Board. “Provided satisfactory arrangements car. be made regarding trees on a certain property, the Lake Alice feeder should be in service towards the end of June.” Mr Hughes said that it requires a let of work in changing from 6000 volts to 11,000. Turakina will also be •worked in with the change over. Work with this project at Marton is taking place. However, the board is fortunate that eight men are employed there instead of two as previously, he added.
