ROME, May 30 (Recd 8 pm).—ltaly faced threats of further stoppages as a strike of 2,000,000 farmworkers entered its twelfth day. The Communist-led General Labour Federation has called a general strike of building worker’s following a breakdown of wage increase negotiations. Turin textile workers have called a strike for June 1 and Treasury workers have agreed on a one-day strike on the same dare. Rome restaurant and bar waiters have threatened to stop work tomorrow if their demands for higher pay were not met by then. They will join 3000 hotel employees who have been on strike since May 25. —Reuter.
