AUCKLAND, Last Night (PAL— Flying the White Ensign after 25 years of commercial use, the naval tug Toia reached Auckland on Satuiday night after a stormy voyage from Wellington. Her long service on loan to the Wellington Harbour Board has ended and as a unit of the Royal New Zealand Navy she will be paid off into the reserve at the Devonport Nava! Base. Commanded bv Lieutenant J. E. Washbourn, R.N.Z.N., the Toia left Wellington on Wednesday. For the whole of her voyage up the East Coast she battled against a strong northerly gale which delayed her arrival in Auckland by about seven hours.
