TAYFORTH FARMER APPARENTLY GORED TO DEATH BY BULL

A well known farmer of Tayforth lost his life yesterday apparently as the result of being gored by a bull. He was: Mr. Janies Matthew Waters, aged 74. Mr. Waters’ body was found about 7.45 last night in a bull paddock on his property at Tayforth. He left his home about midday with the intention of cutting wood. He was last seen alive about that time. When he did not return home at dusk a search party was organised by local residents and the police were informed. Sergeant A. Carlyon and Constable D. Ruscoe went out to join in the search, but when they arrived the body had been found. An innuest will be opened this morning at 9.30. Mr. Waters leaves a wife and an adult family of six.
