Waverley
If enthusiasm counts for anything Waverley should again have a successful season and are turning out a side which should keep the best of opposition busy With the exception of F Taunton, 'who has rejoined the Pirates Club, Waverley will have the same personnel of players to do duty for them this season. The forwards will be represented by the same solid and hard-working players of last season, including the excellent hooker, Ross Dallison, Hones, Newland, Forbes, Powell, Marks, Stewart and Long. The former Pirates player, R. Best, will again be seen at the base of the Waverley scrum. Aiken and Rogers are possible five-eighths. A. Alexander and C. Dallison will be there to give consolidation to the backs. With practically the same team playing together for the second consecutive season, Waverley should not lack combination for its opening match. Their fortunes in the senior championship will be followed with keen interest, both in the Waverley district and in the city, where they have several supporters.
