The accounts of the N.Z. Investment Mortgage and Deposit Co., Lid., for the year ended March 31, 1949, show a net profit, after taxation, of £2504, against £2451 the previous year. An unchanged dividend of 6 per cent., free of income tax and Social Security charge (final 3 p.c.) takes £1065. As in the previous year £lOOO is added to the reserve, bringing it to £23,000. The carry forward is £2216, against £2203 brought in.
