Boy Dies After Being Thrown From Horse
NEW PLYMOUTH, Last Night (PA).—Thrown from a horse near Normanby, a youth received head injuries from which he died while en route to the Hawera Hospital. He was: Mervyn Paul Stachurski, aged 17, son of Mr. P. J. Stachurski, of Tawhiti Road, Nolantown, Hawera. Stachurski was cantering the horse when it stumbled and threw him head first on to the roadway. He was taken to hospital by ambulance, but upon arrival was found to be dead.
