39 Per cent Rise In Australian Wool Values
SYDNEY, April 17.—The value of wool sold in Australia in the first nine months of the current financial year was £144,039,807, or about 39 per cent, more than in the corresponding period of the previous season. Sales totalled 3.287,906 bales, compared with 2,121,073 bales sold in the corresponding period of last year, The figures were favourable, despite the fact that owing to the industrial dispute no auctions were held in New South Wales during March. The average price was £62 19s 2d a bale and 51.14 d a lb
