SYDNEY, April 18. A racing driver, John E. Johnson, 29, was crushed when his car turned over on the Mt. Panorama circuit at Bathurst, and died four hours later. His car skidded into the bank on the comer and overturned end on His chest was crushed by the steering wheel and he was unconscious when dragged clear. The Australian Sporting Car Club is conducting the meeting, which includes the- Australian championships. A man and his wife were killed and another man was seriously injured in a head-on collision between a light car and a bus on the Ballarat Road late last night. All the casualties were in the car, and the bus was not heavily damaged. • A man was drowned when a fish-ing-boat capsized ; n the Murray River at Murrabit. A bystander made an unavailing attempt at rescue. The Body was found ,ater downstream.
