Acknowledgment of Wanganui efforts for C.0.R.5.0. is contained in a letter received by the Wanganui honorary secretary of that body, Miss Eva Brown, from Mr. R. Thurlow Thompson, Dominion Organiser lor C.0.R.5.0. Mr. Thompson has written that advice has been received from the Chief Stores Ollicer, British Red Cross Society Commission, Vlotho, Germany, that shipments of clothing were received undamaged on February 14. The shipments included 11 cases collected in the Wanganui C.0.R.5.0. clothds drive last year. This clothing will be distributed to refugees of which there are a very large number in Germany, prisoners of war and displaced persons. These groups are in a great need and donations such as from Wanganui and other parts of New Zealand help to al leviate the sufferings and want which exist. In addition, 19 cases from the Wanganui drive were included in shipments to Greece and Crete. These also have arrived safely.
