FORDELL ENTRY WINS CHILLER BEEF ON-THE-HOOKS COMPETITION
An Aberdeen Angus, entered by Wyley Bros-, Fordell, was award’ed first place in Ihe judging on the hooks in the chiller beef competition conducted by the Wanganui Agricultural and Pastoral Association at the New Zealand Refrigerating Company’s worksImlay, yesterday. Second prize went to Wyley Bros., Fordell, for an Aberdeen Angus entrant. Neither beast was placed in the judging on the hoof at Freeman R. Jackson’s saleyards on Thursday. A Polled Angus crossed with Hereford entered by T. G. Oldaker, Makiriikri, was placed third. This beast was placed fourth in the judging on the hoof. The judge in the hook judging was Mr E.
