Tasmania Reluctant To Permit Alien Doctors To Practice

HOBART. March 28 (Rec. 7.40 pm). -The Tasmanian Government will not legislate to allow alien doctors to practise in the State, according to a Government spokesman, who added that neither the Minister of Health nor the Premier, Mr Cosgrove, had discussed«with the Federal Government the introduction of such legislation. The only discussions had concerned an inquiry by Mr. Chifley as to whether Tasmania would agree to th? British Government request that Australia should grant reciprocity to Italian as Britain was doing.
