Russia Sees Finland Wolf-Hunt As Ruse Bv Western Powers

MOSCOW, March 27.—The Soviet army newspaper “Red Star ’ declared that a recent large-scale wolf hunt in i Finland on the Finnish-Norwegian I border near the Soviet border was only a ruse to cover up preparation lof the terrain for a military base. | The “Red Star” said that although military aircraft and army trucks 'cruised in the area during the wolf i hunt- only four wolves were killed. The newspaper alleged: “Under these [conditions triumphant chariots could •be expected to return to Helsinki with ’thousands of wolf skins. It was an expedition for studying and preparing a suitable locality for a military base. Then the participation of British and American observers in th? wolf hunt becomes comprehensible.”
