Madame Chiang Kaishek To Fly To U.S. To Seek Aid

WASHINGTON. Nov 27 (Rec. 6 pm).—The State Department announced today that at her request a United States naval transport plane would be made available to fly Madame Chiang Kai-shek from Shanghai to Washington. The plane is due to leave Shanghai tomorrow. The announcement described the visit as being "in connection with the critical situation in China.” S The United Press says that the United States policy-makers are reported to be cool to the visit, which is regarded in some official quarters as a move by China to by-pass the policy-makers and appeal directly to the American people for more economic and military help.
