Scientists For South Africa.
Two scientists who left on the Tamaroa last Thursday and intend to continue their professions in South Africa, were Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Taylor. Mrs. Taylor, nee Elaine R. Weeber matriculated while at Wellington East Girls’ College and then after one year at Victoria College went to Otago University, where she look her M.H.St’. with honours. Mrs. Taylor was Dr. Muriel Bell's assistant I lor four years in the nutrition re- | search department until her marriage ' recently. , , , I Mr. kobert L. Taylor matriculated at Wanganui College and lr<-i went to Otago' University, where bis studies were interrupted by the war. After live years’ service overseas with the i-’leet Air Arm. he came back to complete his M.Sc., with double honours 1 in physics and chemistry.
