Seventy Six Millions Spent On Men And
Women Of World War II WELLINGTON. Last Night (OC) —The rehabilitation of ex-service-men and women of World War II has involved an authorised outlay of £76,027,626 to the end of September.
Farm loans (5253) total £21,675,807, and housing (22,878) £26,968,378. They are the biggest items expenditure. With the allocation to ex-ser-vicemen of 169 State house tenancies in September, the total has been brought to 9153. Allocations are made on the basis of relative urgency by the rehabi itation housing committees in each centre, and those made in the We lington district (Wanganui. Manawatu, Wairarapa and Hutt Valley) were 41. The total number of allocations for the district is 3177.
