Moderator-Elect Of Presbyterian Church Of N.Z.

The Right Rev. Cecil J. Tocker, who will be installed as Moderator ot the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church ot New Zealand at St. Andrew’s Church, Wellington, today. is widely known throughout New Zealand as a preacher and naturalist. He was born at Greytown in the v -inurapa. in 1885. His university work was done at Victoria College and he later passed through Knox College Theological Hall.

Mr Tocker holds the record among active Presbyterian ministers fr the length of his pastorate in the one congregation. After neriods in Geraldine and St. Luke's, Auckland, he was inducted into St. Paul’s, Invercargill, in 1926 where he has been ever since. He is widely known in the south for Iris regular newspaper articles and radio talks and is an authority on bird life and fly fishing. Professor A. H. Tocker. of CanterburyCollege is a brother.
