Recd. 11 p.m. Melbourne, June 30. Thieves who took £5300 from a city safe early this morning, first cut through a steel strongroom door 21 inches thick. Making a hole in the door two feet wide with an oxy-acetylene torch, thev then burned through the back of the safe and abstracted the weekly payroll for 800 employees.
