Legislation To Ensure Fertiliser Quality Before House

(P.A.) Parliament Bldgs., June 30. Safeguards designed to ensure the quality of fertiliser are contained in the Fertilisers Amendment Bill introduced and read a first time in the House of Representatives today. The Minister of Agriculture (Mr. Cullen) said the Bill provided for the making of regulations prescribing the standards of quality, purity, and linencss of grinding. The Minister said the Bill also provided for the rationing of fertiliser and for an inspector to take a sample.
