New Plymouth Watersiders’ Dispute Still Unsettled

(P.A.) New Plymouth. June 29 The dispute between the New Plymouth waterside workers and the Holm Shipping Co. remained unsettled today when all work ceased on the waterfront at 5 p.m. Overtime w»s called for all three vessels in port, but was refused. The officer in charge of the New Plymouth branch of the Waterfront Industry Commission, Mr. A. P. Neil, called a special meeting of the New Plymouth Port Committee, of which he is chairman, following the receipt today of a letter from the head office of the commission. No decision on the dispute was reached, however.
