Play Confined Mainly To Forwards In The Waverley-Tech. Match

Plav was for the greater part confined to the forwards when Technical Old Boys beat Waverley by 8 points (two tries and a conversion) to three (a penalty), in the senior club match at Waverley on Saturday. The backs had few opportunities. K. Gudsell opened the scoring with an unconverted try for T. 0.8., and R. Dallison kicked a penalty for the home team to make the half-time score three-all. Five minutes before full-time, when it appeared that the match would end in a draw' with no score in the second half, D. Goldsbury led the T. 0.8. pack in a rush to the Waverley line where he touched down. A- Webbv converted to make the final score T O?B. 8, Waverley 3. D. Grant (T. 0.8 ), Stewart and Dallison, of Waverley) were thlt outstanding forwards on the day, no back being prominent.
