WANGANUI OPERA HOUSE

Sir.—Can you tell us why Wanganui has been saddled for some year's with such a deplorable Opera House? The community is fond of music, surely a taste to be encouraged, yet such Is the Opera House that many Artists miss out Wanganui in their tours. It is cold and draughty, the curtains billowing while the performers shiver and pianists are forced to rub their hands. Want of Finance cannot be the difficulty as there Is the rent and high Rates —very many complain yet nothing is done —can you inform us as to who is responsible for this deplorable (or disgraceful) state of affairs? I am, etc., "MUSIC" The public is responsible lor the deplorable state of affairs at the Opera House.- Editor.
