Sanatorium Site Not Selected

(P.A.) Palmerston North, June 23. The announcement emanating from New Plymouth that the Western Hospital Districts Joint Sanatorium Committee had selected a site for the proposed sanatorium in Levin last week was described by the managing secretary (Mr. A. J. Phillipps) as “contrary to the facts.” The message was referred to him in the absence of the chairman (Mr. J. A. Nash), who would be out of town till Friday. Mr. Phillipps said all the discussions to date on the site had been taken in committee, but he could say that no decision had yet been taken. To say a site had been selected would be in- ’ correct.
