Many New Faces In Taranaki Teams To Play Wanganui
(Special). New Plymouth, May 30 A number of players new to representative Rugby have been chosen by the Taranaki selectors in teams to meet Wanganui on June 7. The Taranaki A team which will meet Wanganui A, at Wanganui, has an almost completely-deorganised back line, a clean sweep having been made since last year. With the exception of the half-back, W. Cameron, L. Miller, Wanganui rep., centre threequarters last year, has been chosen for Taranaki B, which will play Wanganui B, at New Plymouth. The teams are: — TARANAKI A: Full-back: H. Johns (Tukapa). Three-quarters: Roper (Old Boys), McKenzie (Star), Sykes (Eltham). Five-eighths: Ulenberg (Tukapa), and McKay (Okaiawa). Half-back: Cameron (Eltham). Back row: Kissick (Tukapa). Side row: Ancell (Stratford), Bell (Okato). Locks: Hokaia (Athletic), Carlson (Eltham). Front row: Muller (Eltham), Potier (Clifton), Schumacher (Stratford). Emergencies: Backs, O’Byrne (Star), Beatty (Old Boys). Forwards, Gush (Star), McKenzie (Toko). TARANAKI B: Full-back: Broughton (Star). Three-quarters: Muller (Eltham), Miller (Tukapa), Adamson (Inglewood). Five-eighths: P. Murphy (Clifton), and E. Rowlands (Hawera). Half-back: Walsh (Okaiawa). Back row: J. Waswo (Rahotu). Side row: Jackson (Inglewood), Burke (Stratford). Locks: Burns (Tukapa), Cook (Star). Front row: Gargan (Kaponga), Strawbridge (Hawera), Nickel (Waimale).
