Taxi-Driver Convicted For Smoking While Carrying A Fare

(P.A.) Invercargill, May 26 The first charge in Southland, possibly in New Zealand, under the new transport regulations, which prohibit smoking by drivers of taxis or omnibuses while carrying fare-paying passengers came before the Magistrate’s C°urt today when a taxidriver was convicted and ordered to pay costs.
