More Watersiders In Auckland Placed Under Penalty

(P A.) Auckland, May 26 Three gangs of waterside workers, nearly 50 men, were placed under penalty today for refusing to move the hatches from two holds of the British steamer Mountpark. They brought the total under penalty to 160. The national and Auckland president of the Waterside Workers’ Union (Mr. H. Barnes) returned from Wellington, where the Mountpark dispute was the subject of a conference between the union and the Waterfront Industry Commisison. It was also discussed by the national executive of the union at a special meeting
