FATAL CASE AT TE AWAMUTU BRINGS S. AUCKLAND TOTAL TO 7
(P.A.) Auckland, May 24 The death of a seven-year-old boy from Te Awamutu from infanfile paralysis has brought the number of fotal cases of the disease in the South Auckland health district since the epidemic began to seven. Two further positive cases have been reported in the area. One is another boy aged seven from Te Awamutu, and the other a man aged 42 from Te Rauamoa, near Kawhia. Two suspects were admitted to the Auckland Hospital today. There were 50 positive cases of the disease and three suspects in the hospital tonight. Three further cases of infantile paralysis were reported from widely separated, areas in Northland They were a girl aged three from Ruawat, a girl aged 10 from and a Maori girl aged one year from Kakohe. This brought the total for Northland to 37.
