ENGLAND BEATS SCOTLAND IN THE CUP FINAL
(Special). London, April 11 England, at Hampden Park, Glasgow, yesterday beat Scotland in the Cup final by two goals to nil, thus winning the triple crown for the 1948 season.
Scotland had a territorial advantage, but breakaway goals by Finney and Perason sealed Scotland’s fate. The English goal-keeper, Swift, was outstanding.
