CONFERENCE MAY NOT BE ABLE TO RESUME IN BOGOTA

Observers believe yesterday’s revolution and rioting in the Colombian capital may have been directly inspired by Communists to wreck the Pan-American conference berbre plans for a comprehensive anti-Com-munist purge by the 21 nations taking part could be put into effect, says Reuter’s Bogota correspondent. Rioters were disorganised, but underneath there was a clear pattern indicating that what, had almost certainly sprung from an unpremeditated murder was being taken advantage of by other forces.
