PARAGUAY NIPS COMMUNIST REVOLT IN THE BUD
(N.Z.P.A.—Copyright.) Recd. 6 p.m. Asuncion, April 9. The Paraguayan police announced today that they had blocked an attempted Communist coup, which was co-ordinated with similar moves in other Latin - American countries, aimed at interfering with the PanAmerican conference at Bogota.
I Four Communist leaders were arrested, rifles, hand-grenades and a radio transmitter seized. A police communique said the revolt plan included attacks on police stations and telephone exchanges throughout the country, the assasslnation of foreigners and Government officials.
