SANDY’S CORNER

UllllllllllilllluHMillhlll GOVERNMENT, BE CAREFUL! We have been informed that the Government of New Zealand is seriously considering taking a live interest in the making of rain. We hasten to warn the Government not to jump in too quickly. The weather is about the one and only thing that the Government isn't blamed for. If it starts meddling with rail it'll be blamed for every cad day there is—even for lightning. Unless, of course, such things - as thunderstorms, hail, sleet, cyclones and all their attendant damage, can be blamed on to some sort of subversive element-. We are a bit worried about this Government taking on rain making. We think that ought to be left to private enterprise.
