ADULT EDUCATION

1948 SEASON IN WANGANUI STARTS THIS WEEK.

The Adult Education movement in the Victoria University College area is starting its 1948 season next Wednesday, when a ten-week course on “World Affairs” will begin. 1947 was a successful year, and 1948 shows great promise. In addition to the “World Affairs” series there will later on be courses in Child Psychology, and in language and clear thinking—all subjects that are of great interest. At the end of this month a Drama School is to be held, four tutors attending. There is also a new venture to start next month. Friday film evenings—sometimes full evening's presentations of other worthwhile films, sometimes shorter films with discussions. It is hoped that citizens of Wanganui will avail themselves of these opportunities. j
