Engagement Of Miss Iri Coates And U.N. American Official
New York, March 27 The engagement is announced of Mirs Irirangi Pamela Coates, New Zealand, to Mr, Lincoln Palmer Bloomfield, assistant executive officer, Office of United Nations Affairs, State Department, Washington. Miss Coates is the daughter of Mrs. Coates and the late Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates, a former Prime Minister of New Zealand. She served with the New Zealand Legation in Washington and is now attached to the New Zealand delegation to the United Nations. Mr. Bloomfield is the son of Mrs. Meyer Bloomfield, New York, and the late Professor Bloomfield, of Boston and New York. He graduated from Harvard College in 1941 and attended Harvard Graduate School of Public Administration. He served with the United States Navy and in the Office Strategic Services in the Far East.
