ONE HOTEL LICENCE GRANTED IN EKETAHUNA

(P.A.) Pahiatua, Feb. 3 The Pahiatua Licensing Committee decided at a special meeting in Eketahuna yesterday that, subject to all the work being carried out as requested by the police and Health Department, a licence is to be granted to B. R. R. Gallagher, of Liverpool House. Two applications for publicans’ licences were received bv the committee. They were those or Gallagher and M. C. Macleod, of Palmerston North, in respect to the Commercial Club Hotel. The committee decided that at present only one publican was necessary in the borough of Eketahuna.
