Lady Dill To Visit City On Wednesday

Puring the course of her Dominion tour at the invitation of the New Zealand Government, Lady Dill, widow of the late Field Marshal Sir John Dill, a former Chief of the Imperial General Staff, will pay a brief visit to Wanganui next Wednesday. Lady Dill is making her tour in recognition of her work for Dominion servicemen and women during the war years as a member of the British Red Cross. She is accompanied by her daughter, Miss Sonia Furlong. While In Wanganui, Lady Dill will visit Mr. J. G. Alexander’s Cranleigh stud at Maxwell to see the racehorse Coronach. The horse’s former owner, the Hon. Mrs McDonald Buchanan, is a personal friend of Lady Dill.
