INDIAN CRICKETERS PLAY DRAWN MATCH WITH TASMANIA
Recd. 8.30 p.m. Launceston, Jan. 18. India in a drawn match to-day were led by one run on the first innings after an exciting last hour’s play. At tea the tourists were in great danger of being overwhelmed. Morrisby early completed his century. Walmsley, the former New South Wales player under contract to Lancashire League next season, manipulated the strike of a tenth wicket stand of 28. His 180 not out, the highest by a Tasmanian tenth wicket against an overseas side. The Indians missed Phadkar's bowling. He rested owing to a blistered toe, but will be available for the fourth test.
