TAXI-MAN’S APPEAL TO TRANSPORT AUTHORITY

(P.A..) Wellington, Oct. 3. Reversal of a decision of the Wellington . Metropolitan Transport Licensing Authority, reducing from a 10 mile radius to an area within the city boundaries the limits within which taxi meter fares apply, and increasing the rates chargeable for taxi service at weddings and funerals, was sought by the Transport Department in an appeal heard by the Transport Appeal Authority (Judge K. G. Archer), today. His Honour reserved decision.
