N.Z. BOY SCOUTS RETURNING

LINER AT FREMANTLE Perth, Oct. 3 Two hundrd members of New Zealand’s contingent of Boy Scouts returning from the world jamboree in France arrived at Fremantle in the liner Atlantis. The ship will proceed direct from Fremantle to Wellington, where she is due on Sunday. Because the ship was several hours late the West Australian Boy Scouts’ Association was unable to proceed with its plans for entertaining the contingent, but immediately on arrival the New Zealand Scouts were accorded a reception by the Mayor of Fremantle.

The contingent is not complete as 40 Scouts had to remain in England for to three months. A number of these are taking advantage of their visit to gain experience with the head offices of firms which employ them in New Zealand. During the voyage G. Wilson, of New Plymouth, fractured his arm.
