Kept Hens in House, Bath With Hole, and Rotten Floor Boards

A returned soldier who was wounded in the Burma campaign had his rent reduced when he told a Plymouth rent tribunal that his landlady kept hens in the house ,the bath had a hole in it and the floor boards were so rotten he fell through them. “I like taking a parachute jump,” he said.
