JEWS IN CAMPS IN GERMANY HAVE RATIONS REDUCED
(N.Z.P.A.—Special—Copyright.) Recd. 6.40 p.m. London, Oct. 4 Four thousand five hundred Jewish immigrants who at present are confined in two camps near Lubeck, had their rations reduced from 2800 calories a day to 1550 calories, the normal German food allotment.
The immigrants, who include all those captured in the Exodus attempt, had previously been warned that their preferential ration would be discontinued if they refused to leave the camps.
So far only two Jews out of 4500 accepted the French Government's offer to allow them to return to France.
