Miss Allison Sheat, Dip. H.Sc., New Plymouth, has joined the staff of the Wanganui Technical College.
Mr. S B. Whitlock. M.A., has been appointed to the teaching staff of the Wanganui Technical College. An old boy of the college, he fills the vacancy caused through the appointment of Mr. C. C. Day, B.A. 8.C0m., to the staff of the Westport Technical High School.
Members and officials of the Wanganui Rowing Club recently gathered to farewell Mr. M. Breed, bn the eve of his departure to join the R.A.F. in Britain. A presentation was made to Mrs. Breed in recognition of her husband's sterling work for the club and his success in the competitive field. Technical Old Boys’ Rugby Football Club will miss Breed's presence in the forwards.
Mr. Dave Nancarrow, an energetic and popular young member of the Wanganui Rowing Club, has received advice of his transfer to the Christchurch branch of the Bank of New Zealand. The loss of Mr. Nancarrow, and that of Mr. Breed, will be felt, severely by the club. Mr. Nancarrow will also be missed by the Wanganui and Old Boys’ Rugby Club's senior fifteen, in which he played as wing three-quarter.
