After-Competitions Rally to be Held in Wanganui Next Week
As a sequel to the Wanganui Youth| Movement’s 14th. annual Inter-Bible’ ciass competitions, held in Wanganui! recently, a rally will take place in 1 St. Paul's Hall next Tuesday night. ! The objective is to consider the 1 Protestant churches, and the inter-re-[ lation of people as active Christians in j th? chang ng world. Toward this I end, three speakers have been chosen! to present addresses-the Rev. J. R. 1 Higgs, 8.A., F.R.G.S., vicar of Christ! Churc.t, whose subject is “The Origin : and Present Challenge of Protestant- • ism,” Mr J. T. Jeromson (member of! the Wanganui Trade Union Movement ; and secretary of the W.E.AJ who' will sneak on “Uommun sm or Christ,” I and the Rev. B. Barnett, M.Sc. <Gon- ■ kill? Methodist) the subject of his! add) ess being “Christian Witness.” I The Rcu. Stuart Wyness, of the Wanganui East Baptist Chuch, will I preside over the meeting. At the conclusion of the address, an open forum will be declared, and op-! portunities will bp given to those persons who desire to make suggestions and put questions before the Mr. Wentworth Slater will lead a hvffin session. Io commence at 7.30 p.in. A combined massed choir from nine churches will sing “Jesus, Lover of My Soul ” There will be a quartette and sailed solo.
