Gay Fault, a rising five-year-ok mare by Defaulter from Gaysome, has been purchased by the we'l-knovi. Auckland sportsman Mr. M. J. Mo ■ dabe. for £9OO. Previously raced h\ Mr. S. Edwards, Gay Fault won two races during the season now closing, but had exasperating luck in many ot her races, and on. no fewer tnan eight occasions finished in minor money. No plans yet regarding training arrangements for Gay Fault have been finalised. Until a couple of years ago Mr. Moodabe raced on an extensive scale but he disposed of his team, including Whackie, when business interests took him on a lengthy visit to America. _____
