LAST-MINUTE WIN BY NORTH OTAGO IN MATCH AGAINST SOUTHLAND

(P.A.) Oamaru, July 16 At Rugby, North Otago defeated the Southland sub-unions this afternoon by 7to 6. In the first spell tries were scored for Southland by Smith and Hazlett and the half-time score was 6-nil. In the second spell Halvorsen kicked a penalty goal and within a few minutes of no-side he kicked a field goal to give victory to North Otago.
