DAKOTA CRASH ENQUIRY OPENS. —A public enquiry into the loss of the Spencer Airways Dakota which crashed and burst into flames at Croydon Airport on .January 25, killing twelve people, was opened at Church House, Westminster, on February 24. AirCommodore Vernon Brown, Chief Inspector of Accidents, conducted the enquiry. Hurricane lamps were used to light the room in which the enquiry took place at Church House. At left, Mr. E. Ingrams, a survivor of the crash, is giving evidence. Right of him is Air-Commodore Vernon Brown, Chief Inspector of Accidents.
