CANTERBURY COMPILES 279 FOR 8 AGAINST AUCKLAND (P.A.) Auckland, Jan. 8. Winning the toss and batting first in the Plunket Shield cricket match against Auckland at Eden Park today, Canterbury occupied the crease all day, scoring 279 runs for Die loss of eight, wickets.
