SPECIAL EXHIBITION OF FRAMED PAINTINGS IN LONDON

London, Oct. 28. By permission of the King an exhibition of a collection of 500 famous paintings from the Royal Picture Galleries is to be held during the next three months at Burlington House. Many of the pictures will be from Windsor Castle and Buckingham Palace and have not previously been previously shown to the public, although they are well known to art galleries. The exhibition includes six Holbeins, nine Rembrants, 39 Canalettos, two Van Dycks, and several canvasses by Rubens and Vermeer. Historically, the collection covers four centuries of English history, beginning with Henry VIII., who lured Holbein from the service of Sir Thomas More.
