THE WANGANUI SALE SMALL ATTENDANCE ATD POOR DEMAND Freeman R. Jackson and Co. report a light yarding in all sections at the Wanganui sale yesterday. Heavy rain falling throughout the day and a vety small attendance, sales on all classes of store stock were hard to make. The weather is most unseasonable, the heavy rain stoims, with ocasional heavy hail, made the auctioneer’s task a heavy one. Fat sheep were in over supply, and although a few pens were passed sales made were at late rates. A light entry of pigs sold keenly. The range of prices is:— Sheep.—Fat wethers, 33s to 34s 6d; fat woolly hoggets, 31s to 345; shorn 24s 9d to 27s 4d; fat shorn ewes, 18s to 235; maiden ewe hoggets, 295; 4tooth shorn ewes, 27s Id; medium ewe hoggets, 30s; b.f. hoggets, 27s lOd. Cattle. —Prime ex-dairy cows, £8 to £9 12s 6d; light fat cows, £6 to £7 15s; boner cows, £2 10s to £4 15s; yearling bulls, £4 to £6; aged bulls, £6 to £9; hold-over yearling Jersey heifers, £4 10s to £5 Ils; springing heifers, £6 10s to £l3. Pigs.-- Porkers, £2 18s to £3 6s; weaners, to 38s. Vealers.--Runners, £4 to £5 7s 6d; vealers, £1 16s to £2 ss.
